You want to use this PL-2 adapter plate if you would like to mount a 7300 or 7330 Hybrid over your standard or vintage "Fender spaced" (2-1/4" post to post) slot route. This is the route that your fulcrum tremolo's lower block passes thru (the block that the springs attach to). As your Fender tremolo sits on the top of the guitar body the lower portion goes thru this slot. Most slot routes look exactly alike but are not always in a perfect spot to be completely covered by the new Kahler 7300 or 7330. Some routes are cut slightly closer to the Volume/Tone knobs... some aren't. What happens is that the slot may peek out from under the lower side along the edge of the plate and would be visible along the frame. Sometimes this gap can be as much a 1/4". In this case you will want one of these PL-2 Slot route adapter plates. Each PL-2 plate is made from PVC plastic at 1/16 inch thick and will fit perfectly underneath your 7300 raising it 1/16" or stack 2 for 1/8". THIS IS NOT FOR FENDER SYSTEMS W/FLOYD ROSE SPACING. see PL-4.
